Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask Review

Back with another Lush product review!
Finally got to try out the Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask since it was in stock at my local Lush store.

PACKAGING & PRODUCT
Love the packaging like always. It has everything you need to know about the product on it like ingredients, instructions, promos, and etc. The top is a screw-on so I would be careful when opening this face mask since it's more watery than the Oatifix. The actual product is made with blue berries, chamomile, Irish moss, and calamine. The consistency is similar to a clay mask. The scent was quite pleasant; it did not smell as food-like as the Oatifix, but it was nice. The most distinguished scent were the blueberries. Depending on how much you dislike that scent, you might or might not try this mask.
Here you can see the small chunks of blueberries and the watery component.

PRODUCT CLAIMS
"Prevent disasters by taking regular care of your skin with our deep-cleansing, nutrient-rich blueberry mask. The little blue bulbs are packed with vitamins, and blended into calamine, rose absolute and chamomile blue oil to soothe redness, irritation and cleanse the skin without stripping it of its natural oils."

MY EXPERIENCE
This face mask was a little easier to apply since the consistency is more liquid-like and clay-like. The watery parts are actually helpful to get the mask to apply smoothly because after a couple of uses I used up the watery components and it was a lot harder to apply an even application onto the face since the mask itself dried up a bit. After application, I waited about 10 minutes before I washed the mask off. Below you can see the before and after of the mask during the duration of the time.
First applied

After 10 minutes

After washing off the mask, one of the first thing I noticed was my pores. They looked a lot smaller and I felt like my face looked more matte. It did soothe some of my redness on my cheeks and I felt like my face was hydrated, but not the same hydration as when I used the Oatifix mask. I was still able to apply a light moisturizer without feeling like it made my face greasy. This mask also made my skin feel very soft which is always nice.

OVERALL
I liked this mask. The scent was lovely and the application was easy. I am not sure if I would like to re-purchase this mask since it does very similar things from other clay masks I've tried that is a fraction of the price and doesn't expire in three weeks. I don't mind using it again though! I feel like if you are new to Lush fresh face masks, this one is the one you should try first. It works well with all skin types. I shared it with my friend whom has normal to combination skin and she liked it. I have normal to dry skin and it worked well on me, too. I also recommend this mask to those that want to shrink the appearance of their pores because this does a great job for that!

Hope this review was helpful!
If you have any questions or suggestions for the next mask I should try, then feel free to leave them down below.

    1. The cupcake one sounds cute! I looked it up online and apparently it's best for those with oily skin so I would give it a try if you have that skin type ^^.
