1708 Gallery's 7th Annual inLight Richmond 2014

November 22, 2014
My bf and his siblings and I dropped by this inLight event last night and here are a few of the "good" pictures we manage to take. Most came out blurry, but some actually turned out pretty cool like the picture below. I think they look like hearts

We actually missed a lot of festivities and light instillation because we had no idea where to go LOL. The main reason we decided to go was because we saw pictures of previous years here. Our expectations were pretty high so we decided to check it out. When we got there, there was already a lot of people. We had no idea where to go the whole time and tried to follow the lights (arrows). We only saw about 3-4 of the 20 art installations, witnessed two performances, and my bf's sister made a lantern. I didn't even know we missed so much until I saw a few of my friends' snapchats and facebook pictures. We thought most of the art installations were the arrow lights...since there were so many of we were slightly disappointed... but we were wrong! There was actually a lot of other ones which you guys can check out here if you would like. We should have explored some more!
*Sigh* Even though we missed a lot, it was still a nice experience. Maybe next year will be better since we have a better idea of this event now haha.

Oh yeah! Since it was a light show thing, I did record some clips. I might edit this post later when I decide whether we not to make a video out of them.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask Review

November 19, 2014
Back with another Lush product review!
Finally got to try out the Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask since it was in stock at my local Lush store.

Love the packaging like always. It has everything you need to know about the product on it like ingredients, instructions, promos, and etc. The top is a screw-on so I would be careful when opening this face mask since it's more watery than the Oatifix. The actual product is made with blue berries, chamomile, Irish moss, and calamine. The consistency is similar to a clay mask. The scent was quite pleasant; it did not smell as food-like as the Oatifix, but it was nice. The most distinguished scent were the blueberries. Depending on how much you dislike that scent, you might or might not try this mask.
Here you can see the small chunks of blueberries and the watery component.

"Prevent disasters by taking regular care of your skin with our deep-cleansing, nutrient-rich blueberry mask. The little blue bulbs are packed with vitamins, and blended into calamine, rose absolute and chamomile blue oil to soothe redness, irritation and cleanse the skin without stripping it of its natural oils."

This face mask was a little easier to apply since the consistency is more liquid-like and clay-like. The watery parts are actually helpful to get the mask to apply smoothly because after a couple of uses I used up the watery components and it was a lot harder to apply an even application onto the face since the mask itself dried up a bit. After application, I waited about 10 minutes before I washed the mask off. Below you can see the before and after of the mask during the duration of the time.
First applied

After 10 minutes

After washing off the mask, one of the first thing I noticed was my pores. They looked a lot smaller and I felt like my face looked more matte. It did soothe some of my redness on my cheeks and I felt like my face was hydrated, but not the same hydration as when I used the Oatifix mask. I was still able to apply a light moisturizer without feeling like it made my face greasy. This mask also made my skin feel very soft which is always nice.

I liked this mask. The scent was lovely and the application was easy. I am not sure if I would like to re-purchase this mask since it does very similar things from other clay masks I've tried that is a fraction of the price and doesn't expire in three weeks. I don't mind using it again though! I feel like if you are new to Lush fresh face masks, this one is the one you should try first. It works well with all skin types. I shared it with my friend whom has normal to combination skin and she liked it. I have normal to dry skin and it worked well on me, too. I also recommend this mask to those that want to shrink the appearance of their pores because this does a great job for that!

Hope this review was helpful!
If you have any questions or suggestions for the next mask I should try, then feel free to leave them down below.

BTS: Typical "Work" Day

November 11, 2014
Today I thought I'll do something a little different.

I decided to show a little imprompt-behind-the-scenes and OOTD sorta thing for my typical "work" day. I took these pictures last week, but haven't had the time to sit down and type out this entry until now.
F21 Sweater | F21 Leggings | Gifted - Ring | Walmart Phone Case | Revlon Lipstick in Sable

Typically, I will be in my pajamas, but on days that I need to run errands, work, or whatever that requires me to get dressed, I stay in that attire for the rest of the day. For the day that I took these pictures, I ran a few errands with my dad. Usually, I am planning for an upcoming blog/video idea and/or preparing (taking pictures or typing up) a new post. It's always an on-going thing even if I don't post anything for a while. I have this little art journal where I write all of my ideas down or doodle. I definitely recommend doing this for those that always seem to have random ideas throughout the day and don't want to forget them later on. Also, whenever I have "bloggers-block" (is that a thing? I think it should be a thing haha) I would refer back to this journal to see some of my ideas. Most of the time, it's To-Do Lists, but I find it very helpful.
I know after reading this it seems like I am being too serious about blogging, but I don't think I am? I just seem to always come up with random ideas that I would like to blog about and don't want to forget it. Also, due to my circumstance I can't always just execute my ideas so a little planning helps. I'm a perfectionist so if something doesn't go the way I plan or want, I usually don't start it or if I do start it, I will never finish it. *Sigh* It must me the Virgo in me...

So yeah! I hoped y'all liked this short and random entry~
(And a little sneak peak of my "working" area.
It's a bit cluttered, but I know where everything is okay? LOL.)

Also, I am thinking about doing BLOGMAS again this year since it was pretty fun last year.
Let me know what y'all think and if you want to participate in it, too!
For those that are new to my blog, BLOGMAS is basically a little "challenge" that helps bloggers make the effort to post every single day starting on December 1st until Christmas. It's supposed to encourage bloggers to post more frequently and make it a habit to be more consistent which I think is a great! Ideally, it should be Christmas related, but it doesn't have to be. Just Beyond the God of Patch Bye-bye Panda Eyes Review

November 06, 2014
I got this on a long time ago. I bought two of them and I had already used one a long time ago, too, and forgot to make a review. I tried to find the link for it on sasa, but it appears that they don't sell it anymore so I linked the actual brand's website. I am not sure where you guys will be able to get this besides maybe in South Korea...but I will update this post if I find a place that sells this.

Now on to the review!

The packaging is very cute. It also has helpful instructions for how to use it.
This jelly-like piece is what you apply under the eyes. There is two of them.

How it looks like when applied:

When applied, there was a cool sensation. There is no tingling or stinging; it just feel very cool and relaxing. There is also a slight tightening or suctioning feeling when I have it on which is pretty cool. It makes me feel like it's working!

The instruction said to leave for 20-40 minutes so I left it on for the maximum amount of time. After 40 minutes, I took it off and noticed that all the "jelly" was gone. I guess they were absorbed into my skin! I thought that was pretty awesome.

Here is a comparison photo:

The first thing I noticed was how hydrated the area was. It was also a little puffy so the creases under my eyes were reduced a little bit, but I know it's not permanent. It did brighten up the dark circles a bit, too but not dramatically.

Here's what it claimed to do:
"Designed exclusively for the eye area, this certified whitening patch delivers highly enriched natural whitening ingredients to sagging skin around the eyes and its dark shadow reaching to the chin, instantly boosting suppleness and radiance."

So in conclusion, there was an instant "boosting of suppleness and radiance" which I suppose is the "puffiness" I witness afterwards so I guessed it does what it claimed. I was hoping for a more dramatic difference, (I know, a bit ridiculous for a one time use, but a girl can hope!) but I think the mask did a good job for this one time use :). I feel like after multiple uses, I will start to notice a better difference. Next time I buy eye masks, I'll definitely stock up a few just in case!

I'm still on the look out for some nice eye masks or eye creams that can lighten my dark circles and reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area so if you have any recommendations, please leave them in the comments below!

Like always, I hope this review was helpful!
Also, I realized that I've been posting a lot of reviews lately, I will try to mix it up for my next post! If you have anything else you want to see on my blog or video ideas please let me know!
Hope you guys are having a wonderful day/night :).
