Hair Update: How I achieved my current blonde hair

March 29, 2013
Hello~
I finally have time to post my outcome of my hair!
An anon asked me to post more pictures of my hair so this post will contain that and what I did to achieve my current hair color.
Here is a before & after picture so you can kind of see how light my hair has gotten.
Both of these were taken at the same spot but on different days.
The "before" was back in February and the "after" was taken today.

Below is how it looks like with the lighting from my living room window.
As you can see, depending on the lighting of the room, my hair color looks different.
Yellow light = more yellowy hair
White light = more white blonde hair

Okay, please excuse my facial expression haha.
I'm just trying to show you guys the front and back of my hair.

How I achieve my blonde hair with the help of my bf:
I used:

I bought these from Sally's Beauty Supply. I linked the pictures so you can click on them to get to the direct page of the product.
The main reason why I bought these was because they were on sale for a great deal haha. You can buy which ever bleach or developer you want.
  1. I mixed the bleach and developer together according to the directions. I used about 3x the amount because I have very thick and long hair. If you are unsure then just make one batch and when you run out or need more, make another.
  2. Then, my bf applied it to my roots first, and after that he applied it to the rest of my hair.
  3. I left it in for about 40 minutes, but you can leave it in until you reached your desired hair color. DO NOT EXCEED ONE HOUR. I only left it in for 40 minutes instead of a hour because we had to be somewhere that day. Otherwise, my results would have been lighter.
  4. Then, I rinsed and condition my hair and that's it! I recommend to not use any heat products right after and just let your hair air-dry to prevent further damage to our hair.
  5. [Optional] Apply toner. I didn't use toner because I didn't have any at the time and was planning on toning my hair later on, but a lot of people said that they like my current hair color on me so I just left it how it is. If I do end up toning my hair, I will edit this post or make a new post comparing how my hair looks with and without using toner. [EDIT: toner]
Here are more pictures of me and my new hair:

Most of these are from my ipod so the quality is pretty low, sorry about that!

If you guys have any questions or comments feel free to leave them below! I will try my best to reply back, but keep in mind that I am not a professional so I can only answer your questions based on my experience and current knowledge.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

March 23, 2013
Hi!
I finally edited the second set of photos from my photoshoot back during winter break.
I've thought about uploading them all at once, but I feel like that might be too many pictures in one post. I separated them by different outfits.

Pictures taken by Ivan Gellileo and edited by me.

What I am wearing:
Everything is from Forever21, except for the purple cardigan which is from H&M

Please HYPE to support me!
I'm going to try to update my lookbook more often now.
Also, I started a polyvore so if you guys have one please follow!
I make a polyvore at least once a week usually to recreate one my OOTDs if I don't get a chance to take a picture of it during the week.
As usual, follow my instagram for more daily updates!

Uniqso Circle Lens Review: Puffy 3 tone Grey

March 16, 2013
Hi! I'm here today to review a pair of circle lenses I bought from UNIQSO from a while ago. These were not sponsored by them which is probably why I've waited this long to make a review aha...Each time I feel like making a review for these particular lenses, something always go wrong and prevent me to make it. Well, anyway I can finally make this review today to share my experience with them!

Like always, UNIQSO's packaging is so cute!
They also give you a free pair of contact case with each pair of circle lenses which is always awesome because I won't have to go out and find one. Plus, they're always cuter than the ones I can buy around here.

Please excuse my dark circles.
I've been swamped with school work and still have more school work to do this week, too.
Sleep = none.

How they look when I wear makeup.

DESIGN: ★★★☆☆
These circle lenses have a gradient design. From up close it looks pixelated (not as much as the nudy series though), but from afar it looks pretty natural. I LOVE lenses with a gradient design. These also have a very faint grey limbal ring.

COLOR: ★★★★☆
They are so opaque and vibrant! It's a very pretty icy grey color. It has a gold inner rim which give a gradient blend from my natural eye color to the grey lenses. In certain lighting, these lenses do look blue-ish :/, but nonetheless, I still like the color of these :).

ENLARGEMENT: ★★★★★
Even though on the vial it says that these are 16.5m (eff 17.5mm), these are definitely not THAT big. If they really were that big, then it will probably cover my whole eye and I would have a lot of trouble putting them in. I feel like these are 15mm. The grey faint limbal rings gives it an more natural enlarging effect, but not as harsh and unnatural as the black limbal ring. I give it a 5/5 because theses lenses are very enlarging in my opinion yet natural at the same time. It does make me look a bit bug-eyed without makeup, but not as much as circle lenses with the black limbal ring  around them or darker colored lenses.

COMFORT: ★★★★☆
I would say these are pretty comfortable for the size. I can wear them for almost the whole day, but it's because I have gotten used to wearing circle lenses. I would not recommend first time circle lens wearer to get these yet until they have tried the smaller diameter ones.

I forgot how to take pictures of myself since I haven't camwhored in so long haha. That's why my hand is the way it is in these pictures...

Here's an old picture of me wearing these lenses.

OVERALL: ★★★★☆
I would recommend these lenses! It's perfect for everyday wear and for cosplays. I feel like people with black hair and these grey circle lenses would make a perfect combination because they can play with the contrast of their hair and eyes. For those with lighter colored hair, these lenses might wash you out if you do not wear darker makeup :).

If you would like to get these circle lenses, too, visit UNIQSO!

"Pearl" Royalty Egg

March 01, 2013
Hi hi!

Sorry that I couldn't post last week. I was too busy like usual, but I'll be posting more this week! (Hopefully) My spring break starts today! I know it's really early. It's not even "spring" yet, but whatever. Still get a week off so yay!

Anyway, I thought I'll share with you guys my egg that I did for a class project. It's for this charity that this course helps out every year.

My inspiration came from the Russian Faberge Eggs. I wanted to make something that looked elegant and classy, but also simple. I decided to just stick with one color for the decorations and I love the way it turned out!

Also, to go with the theme of Faberge Eggs, my egg can be displayed both ways which is the "surprise". I also played on the words "pearl" when I named it because it sounds almost like "pure". I added "royalty" because only the royalty can have these eggs made and when you turn it the other way around it looks almost like a crown. :)

Which way do you guys prefer it to be display?

Hope you guys like this post!
I guess this can be an inspiration for those of you who are going to decorate eggs this year.
