Revlon "Pink in The Afternoon" Lipstick Review

February 16, 2013
I thought I'll make a quick review on one of my most recent purchases.

I've always been a fan of the Revlon lip products. Most of my lipsticks are from this brand. I'm happy to add this one to my collection ^0^.

I love the name! It made me giggle when I read it to my brother who was with me when I was looking through the lipsticks. He helped me decide on this one.
 Here's a swatch.

COLOR: ♥♥♥♥♥
Isn't it pretty?! The color is a really pretty pink rose petal color. It has a creme finish which I like. It's not matte matte, but not shiny shiny. I am a big fan of creme finishes. I also think this color will suit a lot of different skin tones. It's a great color for everyday wear!

It glides on smoothly and doesn't dry out my lips. I still use chaptstick or lip balm under sometimes, but if I don't have any of those with me, I can still reapply this lipstick and my lips will still be fine. Like all lipsticks, you do need to reapply after eating. Another thing I love about Revlon lipsticks is that they do not feel sticky!
There is also no fragrance to it which I love! I dislike those lipsticks that smells like play dough or any other smells. I like my lipsticks to be fragrance-free ^^

The packaging and very classy and elegant. I love that the sticker of the lipstick color on the bottom is almost exactly like the actual product color. I think this is a major plus because for other brands, I am usually hesitant because the sticker on the packaging and the actual product is different by a few shades which can make a big difference sometimes.

OVERALL: ♥♥♥♥♡ (4.5/5)
I don't know how to fill in half the heart aha...but overall I really like this color and product. I will definitely recommend it because it is affordable and it's a great every day lip color.
Hope you guys like this quick review!
I might do reviews on the other colors I have if you guys are interested. Leave a comment below if you do :).
Sorry if this post seem a bit all over the place. I'll work on making better reviews in the future.

Get Ready with me! - Lunar New Year

February 09, 2013
Happy Lunar New Year!

I thought I'll show you guys how I'm going to do my makeup and what I'm going to wear for it.
It's very simple!

It's basically a normal cat eye look with gold eyeshadow :).

When I'm done with my eye makeup, I used concealer to conceal my dark circles.
I used the Sonia Kashuk quad palette.

This is how it looks like after I blend it out under one eye.

Then, I used my Too Faced foundation in Perfect Nude around my eyes and blend it out. I do this because it helps to even out the color in that area.
I also used the setting powder in the Sonia Kashuk palette to set my foundation.

Next, I used the Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush on the apples of my cheeks.

To finish off the look, I used a nice orangey-red color.
I'm using the Revlon Lip Butter in the color Tutti Frutti!

Here's the final look ^-^!
I didn't do anything to my hair. It's just air drying as I made this tutorial aha~.

What I am wearing:
Long sleeve white top with lace ruffles - Yesstyle
Red Blazer with gold buttons - Charlotte Russe
Black jeans - Pacsun
Black booties - Forever 21
Gold and rope chain bracelet - Forever 21

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Have a happy lunar new year and get lots of li xi/hong bao!
