OOTD

January 29, 2013
This is what I wore today. I had bf take the full body shots for me.

He kept taking pics at this angle because he said it made me look taller and it was cute...
My faces in all of the ones he took at this angled (like 3 pics) looked derpy so I covered it with this smilie face haha.
I hate when I get extra creases on my eyelids =_=.

Yep.
I am currently working on a blog post, but I can't post it yet because I'm not done taking pictures for it.
So stay tune for for the next post!

winter break haul

January 20, 2013
Hey guys!

I finally have some time to update this blog. Sorry for not posting a while!

I just finished my first week of classes, and I thought this might be a good time to make a haul of some things I got over my winter break. Most will be beauty and fashion related. I actually didn't get much because I spent most of my winter break buying presents, food, art supplies, and storage materials. I don't think you guys will be interested in those stuff aha.

Firstly, for Christmas I got a wallet and a cardigan. Surprisingly they match :). My cousin and bf knows my taste well haha.

I was really surprised that my cousin got me this wallet, but she said it was to repay back the debts that she owed me LOL. Well, I like it!
Here's an OOTD I wore yesterday.
I really like this cardigan that bf got me because it looks very "Chanel-like". I've worn this like three times already, and it matches everything and it's really warm. I feel like it gives a more polish look to every outfit ^^.

I got this at F21, too. I didn't NEED another wallet, but I really, really liked this one so I bought it.  The thing with F21 is that if you see something you really like, you should get it right away because it will probably be gone the next day. That happened to me way to many times so I've learned my lesson haha. I actually got this wallet before my cousin bought me the GUESS one for Christmas.

I found these bracelets when I was at Five Below and they were like $3 each. I know I can probably order them off of ebay, but I didn't want to wait that long to get it. My bf and sister think they're creepy, but I like them!

I also got this film camera at Five Below, too. Bf knew that I like cameras and stuff so when he saw it he said I should get it. I still need to buy film for it, but I can't wait to use it though!

I got this top coat because I watched Jenn's (clothesencounter) video and she said that this dries nail polish really quickly so I wanted to try it, too. I've tried other top coats, but they would always take a while to dry and it makes my nail polish bleed into the other colors if I do use more than one color. Basically, from my experience I haven't found a good top coat yet so I have high hopes for this top coat!

My liquid liner is about to run out and my sister recommended me this one. I bought two of them - one in black lacquer and one in bronzed shimmer. I always get eyeliners in these colors because sometimes I want a more edgy look and sometimes a more natural look. My sister said that this stays on the whole day and doesn't smudge so I can't wait to try it!

This was the last item I picked up because we were running out of makeup remover. I never tried this one before, but I really liked the packaging so I decided to give it a try.

I bought this because I really liked the other cleanser I used. It's in my September Favorite post if you guys want to check it out. I got this one because it has more product in the bottle than the other one I used. Plus, it's the same price so why not get the one that has more right? I also wanted my skin tone to be more even because it has been kind of blotchy lately. Hopefully, this will do the trick.

I never tried this before, but it was on sale so I decided to give it a try. I usually use the one in a tub container. I need one since I bleached my hair. Must maintain it!

That's basically my winter break haul! There wasn't much stuff, but hope you guys liked it!
If you want to see any reviews on any of the items I got, feel free to comment below :).

Hope you guys are having a great start to the new year!
My resolution for this year is:
  • to help bf do better in school
  • get out of my comfort zone
  • and to post more frequently on this blog (I'm thinking at least once a week starting now!)
What are your new year resolutions?

Hair Update: How I bleached my hair

January 04, 2013
So I finally bleached my hair!
New year new hair, right? LOL

I've never bleached hair before so I did some research and asked around before I did this.
Here are the products I used.

In the picture there are only one of each, but I actually used more than that.
Since my hair is really long AND thick I had to use the total of:
  • four bleach powder packets
  • two bottles of toner
Anyways here's the process:

Here is my hair before bleaching it. Yea, my roots are growing out and my hair is greasy and gross LOL.
I didn't wash my hair for a day so the natural oils will be on my hair so it will be less damaging to my hair.

I started from the back first and did my dyed hair first. Then, went back to do the roots since my roots were my virgin hair. I had my cousin do it for me.

This is how it looks after bleaching it the first time. I used three packets of the bleach powder.

This is a picture of the fourth bleach powder packet I used. My cousin missed some spots in my hair especially the roots since she did it last and we were running out of bleach. We had to go out and buy more bleach.

This is how it looked like when I touched up the parts that we missed.
Yea, it's still uneven, but at least it kinda blends together?

Then, the next day, bf helped me with toner. I didn't take pictures of the process, but here's how my hair looks after toner. The orange-ness is kinda gone.

Here's the final look of my hair. Sorry for the blurriness.

This picture is edited.

All of the pictures of my hair is not edited except for the last one, but I did resize them and used the star to cover up my face. This is how my hair looks like with flash and normal window lighting.

Overall experience

Do I like it?
Honestly, I don't know. I still need to get used to it. I feel like in person my hair looks gold. It's like a strawberry blonde color. There are sections of my hair that I like which are the blondest parts. I am planning on going lighter in the future though.

Did bleaching damage my hair?
Of course, but surprisingly it didn't damage it as bad as I thought. My hair do get tangled more easily now, but I don't mind. It still looks healthy. I feel like the Palty hair dyes I used before were more damaging than the bleach I used - if not - the same. I heard that using bleach on your scalp will cause it to be irritated and the bleach did a little, but I felt like the Palty hair dyes irritated my scalp more than this bleach powder I used.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, but just to let you guys know, I am not a professional. This is just based off of my knowledge that I researched and my experience.
